Hometown Chatham, LA
Expertise BSN, RN-BC

The grandson of sharecroppers, I was born in Chatham, Louisiana, a small rural town in Northern Louisiana. Before entering grade school my parents moved my sister and I from Louisiana to the Kennewick, Washington in search of a better life and opportunity. I went on to graduate from Kennewick High School and received degrees in Nursing from both Columbia Basin College and Washington State University.

In 2004 I became a nurse and moved to the Portland area in 2005. I am an ANCC Board Certified Registered Nurse and have specialized in Medical/Surgical Nursing, Emergency Nursing, Case Management and even served as part of the leadership team on a Physical Rehabilitation Unit. While working as a nurse I also became very involved with my professional association, The Washington State Nurses Association.

As a member of the American Nurses Association Political Action Committee (ANA-PAC), I hope to play a helpful role in connecting nurses to lawmakers. Additionally, I want to advocate for laws that that will improve the working conditions of nurses and better the healing conditions of patients.
